Every project is a little different but here’s a run-down.
Your channel and content are reviewed.
We identify a collection of content.
You approve a sample chapter.
A contract is signed.
Transcripts are extracted and edited into a manuscript.
Typesetting and graphical work is done.
You review and approve a finished draft.
You receive a proof copy of the book.
Any amendments are made and finished art is completed.
You give final approval.
The book is published.
An example: a set of content in a YouTube playlist is selected comprising a dozen 12-minute video essays. A typical 12-minute video contains about 2,500 words, giving us around 30,000 words for the book. This is considered a Short Non-fiction Book.
We take a 2,500 words and make a sample chapter. If you approve it we present you with a contract before proceeding.
We then extract all the transcripts. A copy editor crafts them into a manuscript. A designer composes the book with graphics and illustrations.
A digital draft copy as a PDF is shared with you for feedback and approval before it is sent to the printer for a ‘proof’ copy for both you and us to review in print.
Any further amendments are made and final approval is requested before the book is published.
